THOMAS PANDOLFI RETURNS TO CHERRY HILL

The Board of Directors of the Cherry Hill Historical Foundation is pleased to present Thomas Pandolfi in concert on Sunday, July 26th. Always in demand for his virtuosity and narrative programming, Pandolfi last played to a full house at Cherry Hill in 2024. This season he will present a sweeping and highly virtuosic program that bridges European Romantic brilliance and the unmistakable sound of America’s musical voice The first half will showcase the poetic and electrifying piano world of Franz Liszt, featuring works that combine lyricism, brilliance, and transcendental virtuosity.
The second half, America 250: From Roots to Rhapsody, will trace a vibrant musical journey through the American soundscape ____from early salon miniatures and ragtime classics to the Broadway stage and the enduring genius of George Gershwin. Culminating in the solo piano version of Rhapsody in Blue, the program captures the energy, lyricism, and rhythmic vitality that define the American musical identity.
This concert reflects Pandolfi’s signature approach: combining technical command, expressive range, and large-scale narrative programming to create an immersive and unforgettable recital experience.
Admissions to the 3:00 PM performance will be taken at the door, with adults admitted for $10, students for $5, and children 12 and under at no charge. A reception will follow the program, and the entire 1858 plantation home of the George Washington Alston family will be open for touring. Located 12 miles south of Warrenton on Hwy NC 58, the unique concert venue is on the National Register of Historic Places and provides a well-preserved example of an Italianate-Greek Revival style in the Jacob Holt vernacular.
